Our Salon
Urban Edge Hair Group opened its doors in September 2006.
Our vision was to create a salon that was contemporary, relaxed and unpretentious, with a focus on the importance of providing superb customer service and for our stylists to be capable of designing any style: from modern to edgy to timeless and classic looks. Over the years we have attended classes, trade shows, and hosted in- salon classes to allow us to continue to grow and keep our guests happy.
In 2008 our Junior Stylist program was developed to encourage local talent to enhance the excellent training they received at VIU, one the Western Canada’s top hairdressing programs. Since then, we have built our salon around young enthusiastic stylists from the Parksville/Nanaimo area.
We have seen Craig Street grow into a vibrant shopping and tourist area and are proud to be part of this downtown business community. With our modern decor and eclectic blend of music, our welcoming staff make our salon a fun and lively addition to Parksville.
